As some could say it could be a way of life,keeping us protected;as for me I say the rules are there for a reason.As in Christianity,Self control,love,patience,kindness play an important role,and if you have noticed these are important in living a heathly and successeful life.Self control,for example it gives the ability to control your mind,meaning you abstain yourself from things that harm you eg,alcohol,drugs,too much food,pre martial sex,and now all you focus on is on God and what matters to you most,no distractions. I am not saying I have mastered all these,no I have n't but,mankind will not be mankind without religion,it is what is keeping us,us.It keeps us sane and hopeful,in hope for a better future. What makes us differrent from any other animal if we do whatever we want,only listening to our fleshy needs?On contrary they(the animals) are sometimes better than what we are now.
