It been roughly a week now since the 1st COVID-19 case has been disclosed in Ethiopia. In just few days the disclosed cases have climbed to 11. The age range is from 85 yrs- 28yrs. The first person with the disclosed case has been in the country for about 15 days before diagnosis was made." WAKE UP FRIENDS " Europe,America, Canada are all in lockdown. If you look at their figures on the cases of COVID-19 on Offical WHO website, it would surely amaze you. Especially Italy is devastated by the PANDEMIC. Please look at the diagrams below adapted from (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/italy/). " OURS COULD BE WORST " In the past, we travel to this countries for medical purposes. Paitents were healed and impressed by their Medical facilities, health care professional and resources. " SO, WHAT CHANGED ???" .The world had a battel with COVID-19 and WE ARE LOSING. Ethiopia with the worst health care faclities, referral system and resources seems to relax on the issue. People posting memes on social media that mock and even make fun of our recklessness are left as JOKES."WAKE UP FRIENDS " A wise man told me " GOD loves Ethiopia so much that he gave ETHIOPIA a head start ". BUT,are we really taking that advantage. "DON'T WAIT FOR STATE OF EMERGENCY TO TAKE ACTION ". PLEASE ..... Practice the preventive methods to protect yourself and your family from the PANDEMIC. PLEASE...... Practice SOCIAL DISTANCING, why ?? Because that all paitents with COVID-19 don't show symptoms. ETHIOPIA IS NOT READY FOR COVID- 19 , BECAUSE WE ARE NOT SPECIAL. Are we willing to sacrifice 900 people per day. Can we really afford that ?? How many cases are good enough for change ??
