There are multiple reasons but I'll put down the major ones here. 1. Govt policy, idc abt the bullshit they spit out, the regulation is setup in order to intentionally hinder and stifle payment systems 2. Tech stack, we hv shitty tech stack in regards to infrastructure and it continuously drops (on that note, FUCK ethio-telecom) 3. People, the people just don't trust payment solution, primarily for the above reason but also b/c we simply, as a nation, dont trust. Example can be the govt won't give u a license without a rent agreement and u won't get a rent agreement unless u pay 6 months in advance (govt doesn't trust u even though you're citizen and your fellow citizens don't trust you either😂). The other example might be ride, ppl with the app on their phone will rather call the number instead of using the app🤦🏾‍♂😂 4 lastly focus on the wrong target market, this is for all the developers (including me) more than 80% of the population lives in the countryside.
