The thing is religious people follow religion for there selfish reasons. Religion is for people who are scared to go to hell, nothing else. They only like to believe to see Gods forgiving side. Religious people try not to sin in front of a man, not fearing God. Because they like acting righteous and like to be seen as perfect beings. My advice is please be a spiritual person no matter the religion. Only follow what your believe in for the life of righteousness in front of God and love.

When it comes to christianity there were rules in the old testament but in the new testament just b/c u dont do those things like lie ,steal, fornication dose not guarantee that you will be saved the only way that you can be saved is by believing in Jesus Christ and so once you do believe in Jesus Christ then you don't do these things not because they're rules but because out of love for God and Jesus just like if your parents tell you not to do something you don't listen to them just because they're your parents you listen to them because you know they're telling you for your own good and that it would make them happy if you were not to do these things so you abstain from sin not from the law but from Love become a Christian means to become a follower of Christ and of all things holy it's inevitable you may whether it be a tiny white lie or a big mistake but if you repent and ask for forgiveness God who is full of forgiveness will forgive you but being a Christian also means to turn away from your old ways and to start doing what's right not because it can save you but to show that you being saved helped you as a person and to help others be saved
