Hello...... Do you people think we can have moral objectivity with out God... why would you punish someone if s/he thinks murder is ok and murders others? Why would someone be punished if he rapes a women since it makes him happy..... i mean after all we all live by what we think is right if there is no God!

So while raping might bring joy to the rapist, the guilt and self hate it imposes on the victim is inhumane. The rapist is self - centered and unethical towards others, which is wrong according to our morals. So you don't need an expicitly written law to forbid everything in life, YOU JUST KNOW

Mar 11, 2020Of course we can, moral values are what is called "super ego" those are mostly based on societies' perception of good and evil and God has nothing to do with that, well except creating us this way. To help with my argument consider this there can be only one true God, right... But there are countless religions but each and every society has more or less similar moral values and you can see atheists too, that are so humanitarian and caring. This is to say moral values are embedded deep in human nature and have less to do with God.

Mar 24, 2021okay frist let's deconsturoct the idea of objective moral from God which lucky for us was done by socrates in the book of plato"The republic" on which he asked "Is something good bse god commands it or does god have a reson to think it is good"; if u say the frist u didn't really escape "what ever u do problem" u just change the subject in hand[and whatever he command is insense good u maysay but if there is nothing he bad he can do god by defination is not good] and if u say the second we just need to know the reason god used [btw if good follow moral rule there is sth by defination] so know we hae shown this ethical theory[also known us devine-command theory btw]. So but still moral can be objective here is a reasoning Imagine a universe where every conscice being is in pain as much ass possible as long as it can [there is no worest than this if u say u have to state]even a universe with no conscious being is better than this so we have a baseline it is to escape as far as from this base line while we have the fredom of knowing it;
