Based on my and other people's experience there are about 3 books you should read to get the score you want. The first book is: The official sat book from college board( aka the blue book), this book will give you the base and foundation you need to take the test. 2nd book: The SAT black book by Mike barret 2nd edition. This book can literally get you a score above 1500 if you know how to use it. 3rd book: Erica l. I think the best time to prelare would be during the summer of 11th grade and to take it in December or October. Many people also take gap years after they are done with matric and they do much better than before since they have less distractions. You gotta practice through drills. Do as many practice tests as possible and read the explanations for those queations you missed. Check out cracksat.net for a myriad of reaources to prepare with.
