Same shit happened to me bro. And I have to say, don't listen to anyone tellin' you to try it out when you clearly said "I don't want her for any love shit". If you like her too, you'd be a lucky one and that would be great but if not, don't even think about it. Relationship out of pity is the worst, you won't like her in the end and you'll feel more suffocated. That's a double loss. On what you should do tho, tell her your honest opinion about it. Although, it might mean that you won't be friends anymore. And it would be selfish of you to keep her to stay as a best friend when she wants something more. If she wants some space to forget/heal from it, you should give her that. Personal opinion: I don't believe things go back to normal after that. Even if they choose to stay as yo best friend, don't expect them to let it go over night. And it would be even harder to let go when they have to see you every day. It's just not the same energy no more. Because of this reason, I don't make great friends with girls now. Being friends is fine. Both dating and letting them go if shit like this happens becomes wayyy easier that way. Best friends or close friends tho, I don't do that shit no more.
