Here is what I know.
As for the first one the Quran reads…. Quran 9:111 – “Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Quran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.”
It doesn’t say you will kill non-muslims to receive 72 virgins infact the 72 virigins aren’t mentioned in the Quran, as far as I know they are mentioned in the Islamic Traditions, in the book of Sunan. It isn’t clear what this verse means but the part where it says “they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain” can be taken as justification for war. However some muslim scholars counter this stating “When we read in the Quran, there are limits set by Allah, take for example this passage. Allah says, “Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.” – Quran 2:190” Therefore they argue that these limits limit the slaying and getting slain to acts of self-defense. To this I would raise the question “Where all of Prophet Mohammed’s conquests in self-defense?” If yes I would ask “How about the initial raids he carried against Quraysh caravans at the beginning of his conquest?” If no then I would ask “Why would Prophet Mohammed contradict the very book he believes was a revelation to him from Allah?”
