What did Plato mean by, "rhetorics partake in acts that claim to be literary but are against what literature does?" Especially when he writes: "Aren't they themselves undermining what they are doing?"

I guess he thought of literature as a medium of communicating the truth, and them, the sophist, were instead using literature to gain what they are after. And this would makes us think that literature isn't actually the truth, therefore we wouldn't view them as telling the truth, but they tell us they are using literature which is truth. I hope this isn't convoluted.
