Reader here!🙋‍♂️ Have read the Amharic one. It’s quite a book. A real piece of work. After all the promotional jam, Nobel prize nomination, charity minamin, ubiquitousness of the book in every corner of Addis, I was kind of reluctant to buy and expected I would drop it in hours even if I did. The reality is my friend, incomparable! Man this dude has made powerful dissection view of our moment. Just amazing! His words are very minimalist. Coherently written. Very carefully crafted to avoid hasty generalisation. And of course futuristic is his book as the man is by itself. Do not worry. The Amharic is very accessible. In fact what makes the man stand out from the rest of politicians is his quality to make people understand him. From Ketchene to Arat Kilo, you know what he mean when he mean something. Fuck the review. You don’t need someone to read a book for you and tell you what is all about. And don’t forget that this is a country full of shitheads that burn books without even a reading a single chapter.
