To study a programming language, you have to learn the basics of programming first, don't learn a specific language at first. Just learn the "Fundamentals of Programming(Search it on google and get the pdf) there are algorithms(Iterative(loops) , conditions(if ... else)), syntaxs(rules) , and some techninques that all programming languages have in common. If you learn that, it will be easier to learn even 2 or more languages at a time (C++, Java , VisualBasic). PS. I am Computer Science G.C student.

I am a software engineering too man what i hv learnt these days is don't expect much from ur teachers and do not focus and only watch video tutorials except full paclage tutorials like udemy courses but the best way to learn is read books read , read and read and practice what u hv read . 2nd watch full project tutorial videos 3rd make projects on your own with ur own ideas 4th google everything which brings doubt Visit stackoverflow and github everytime see other programmers code

From my experience when I learn any programming language I will start with video and after having some basic understanding I will exercise like by searching exercises on Google for example " for loop exercise" . But if you want to have advanced skill or to master it after doing what I have told u read book and then do big project
