catcalling had never only been towards women who fit the social construct of beauty. Instead it is about a man who is thick minded enough to threaten and throw inappropriate word to someone (women in this case) he thinks he can physically dominate( sometimes emotionally and mentally). So it won't matter if you think someone else is sexier or pretty( does not mean they should be a victim of this either). I advise you to always walk in groups, try to ignore such events and if you must walk alone use earphones(though it might distract you from being alert). Most of all I advice you to not take what they say to heart whether good or bad. Don't use their words as a metrics of your self worth.
