Why does society put so much pressure on kids to have their lives figured out by 18-20? Think about it, they expect them to make decisions that last 3 times of what they've lived. In addition schools don't even prepare them for it .What are your thoughts?
Apr 06, 2021I think by that age you either know where you wanna be or because of the pressure you will be thinking about what you want to do which I think is a good thing. If the pressure wasn't there we would be 18-20 year old babies. About school not preparing us for real life I agree with you, my only question would be what do you think should be done about it?

Apr 07, 2021... very good question ewnet That is true in Ethiopia but in the other world you have the freedom until 23 or 25 to figure out who you are... You also have a chance to change it but remember that's hard. Anyways after 18 you start to become independent in terms of emotion. You have to make decisions this time cause you are almost 4 years to your explosive, working year which you ought to use properly. Besides schools cant teach you what you like... They cant say well this is what you should do and they let you do it... They give you different choices. You have to be smart and choose wisely. Ethio schools don't even do that. No insight abt your future. That's because the curriculum doesn't care... You have to be smart here, you have to make sure you are not driven by the mass
