so what happened was we were placed in a group with Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, and Niger. After six matches, the first two of the group get to qualify for the African cup of nations that will be hosted by Cameroon in 2022. Yesterday before the match, Côte d’ivoire had 10 points, Ethiopia had 9 points, Madagascar had 7 points and Niger had 3 points. So Niger has already been disqualified as they had no chance to meet up with the points with only 1 match remaining. Mind you the gap we have with Madagascar is just 2 points. If they would have won against Niger and we lost against Côte d’ivoire they would qualify instead of us with 10 points. Yesterday we played with Côte d’ivoire and we lost 3-1. But Niger managed to draw with Madagascar there by denying them of getting the points required to qualify and so we did with Côte d’ivoire in first place with 13 points, Ethiopia second with 9 points, Madagascar with 8 points in third place and Niger last with 4 points.
