Government means the people so we all have a share in the cause. -Government policies are not that effective in liquidating the inflation. -Merchants' only objective is illegal profit. -Local customers bias against local goods. -Imports are costly due to devaluated domestic currency and high tariff on both inputs and finished goods. Solution -The need of reformation in economic policies - Educating merchants on how to do business economically and how even a small individual business xan affect the whole economy and in return affect them and their families... - Local customers (we) should try purchasing local goods.

I would say the govt is partially responsible but not from a socialist point of view. I believe the fault with the government is not being able to create a free market system where private companies aren't able to freely compete. That's the govt fault. Our country's people are mostly socialist without even knowing it. They expect the govt to intervene and correct market inflation...I personally don't think the govt should try to control these goods mnamn they should only create a free and equal market system where different companies can compete...keza the inflation will slowly stabilize.
