Jan 17, 2020Less stress leaves space for more free thinking. Fear can be a motivator but the mind doesn’t work well under overwhelming levels of stress or fear, it somewhat freezes. So work on your state of mind first and try and get different results, it doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad, no “weynè gudè fela” minamin. Don’t do the same thing over and over again and expect different results, that’s insanity. Change a few things. You then cultivate the things you did right or the things that worked for you to get better results and improve those courses of actions from there on out. If you have trouble remembering what you did right or wrong, documenting your steps on paper is not a bad idea for later reference. Try to enjoy your school life and your courses because dreading them won’t contribute anything. Stop thinking about what other people think of your grades or what people, family and others expect from you, at the end you have to know that you’re doing all of this for you not for anybody else. Setting higher expectations wrecks havoc when you don’t meet them and induce more stress than before. Focus on the journey not the end result, focus on the process and the rest will eventually come naturally. Went through what you went through and after graduation my only regret was why I had to worry that much for so little gain, it didn’t help bring much of a difference. In fact some people were doing way worse than me for the effort they’re putting out. I used to think they did better and I didn’t but I was absolutely wrong. Worrying so much about grades takes up space in our minds that we don’t know the negative effects it imposes on us, a clear mind goes a long way. Best of luck!
