Hi, I just have a very simple genetics question. Let’s say my father’s brother married a woman “X”, and they had a child. They later get divorced, and Madam X goes on to marry another man, and they have a kid “Y”. Are me and Y related by blood?
Mar 04, 2021woman "X" is your cousin's mother, and with whom ever she had a child , that child is related to your cousin like a half sibling, so basically your cousin is closely related to kid "Y" as a half sibling, and u are related to your cousin, which makes u and kid "Y" related in a long distance, u should count 7 generations not to be related, and u are barely 2 generations away
