Currently, government based hospitals pay a starting wage of 9056 (tax undeducted) with housing and transportation allowance of 2000, so if you work a few duties a month like 5-6/month, there will be an additional 3000 or so. In total, after tax and all, you will get around 11,000-12,000. Which is not worth much specially if you work in the city plus considering the effort you put in daily work.
I don't have a lot of info about private hospitals but A) Finding a job at a private hospital is difficult unless you got connections, but clinics are much easier to join, their pay ofcourse has also a big difference. Little problem here is some require job experience. Clinics pay 12k to 15k, while hospitals pay as much as 25k (NET), I guess allowance depends with every hospital and duty is not included in this sum.
As far as I know, there is no agency that prepares you for medical licensing exam in other countries. Ethiopian medical universities may not be elligible (accredited) for usmle by 2024 so if you are graduating by next year and specializing overseas is your priority, you would need to speed up the exam taking process. Meanwhile countries like canada and australia are tough to specialize in because they require you get residency card to be elligible and all but are much better to work as a GP if you have someone who can support you for months before you settle and find a job. If you are interested in working in other african countries it's going to be tough but you just need to be dedicated, search for openings online and make contact, I THINK.
