Ummmm sup everyone, I had a best friend who had a crush on me...it's been awhile since he has told me, I told him that I just want to be his friend...but I couldn't stand the fact that I hurt him badly so I changed my number because I don't want him to feel like that and also I want him to forget about me... Was it the right thing to do?? I feel like I am the worst person for doing that to my best friend!!

If you insist on being just 'friends' not like an intimate way, you had to make it clear and see if he is a man enough to take it. If he is not, Then he wasnt worth it in the first place so things will stay as they were. Changing number and avoiding each other will make things worse.
