Hello all, I don't know how to tell you all but Iet me try I was rasied in miserable divorced family. My alcoholic mom rasied me and my dad visits us (my bro and i) twice or three times a year. He's too busy with his business. My big bro got into drugs and he's now working as a dj in mom's night club. On my freshman year at med school I had this deep frustration by whatsoever was happening in my life. My dad was at ICU, I wasn't doing well at class and all. I just went to a corner and I was tearing my eye out. In the middle of nowhere a guy came by and asked me if I was ok. I told him everything since I didn't have anyone to talk to. After some time we got along well. He is kind and caring. All men I have known in my life were so rude and selfish. But he's so different. The thing is last year he said he wants to start a relationship with me. I was so scared. I don't want our friendship to end. He's the only good thing I can count in my life. Relationship is a whole different thing I mean what if left me and we end up being like my fam. I told him my fear he said he understands and he can wait till I get ready but I don't seem to get ready. I just wished we always be friends but I guess life doesn't work that way. Should I start a relationship with him? How can I be sure that I won't repeat my fams life? What do you think? I'm sorry for the lengthy text. Thanks for your patience.
Dec 14, 2019Okay dear, first of all I can tell you that you're one of the bravest girl and frankly speaking, me saying this wouldn't save the day, all of this depends on you. Girl, I can partially relate to u...I mean medical life is pretty tough, I can give it that. I need you to be stronger than ever and listen to what I got to say. First off, you are not your parents. You are you...that's something you have to accept. I got my mother's look, she raised me but that doesn't mean I am her. Even twins are different in a way. What I am trying to say is YOU, BY YOURSELF, ARE SPECIAL...no one is brought into this world to be like someone else...every path you took so far made you into the person you are today, so you won't let things go wrong like that. I am sure history will not repeat itself, trust me on that, more than that trust GOD. Show them...show them how a good family is...show them yourself. And my answer to the question 'should I start a r/ship with him?' That totally depends. Something I totally believe in is that the best r/ship comes from being best friends...so take your time and really get to know each other, other than the FAM story...ask silly questions...make jokes...and then..then you will really know when the time is right.
