I am a guy but it works for me all the time I don't know how u can make it red (mine is pink) but to make it soft first when ur brushing ur teeth lightly also brush ur lips to remove the dead skin then use a mixture of Vasiline, little bit of water and sugar.....make sure all the sugar is dissolved.....I hope it works for u too and try not to lick the mixture after u applied it cause it is so sweet( I usually can't)
