You asked a complex question, I'll try to answer it in a simple way.
If you already accepted Jesus Christ👇
(Romans Chap. 10)
----------
9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
if you did the above But you have a problem of living a committed life, and you think the reason that you repeatedly fail to live a committed life is because you don't understand Christianity/ Jesus.
If this is your problem,
It could be that you are not immersed in reading the word of God and you are not actively renewing your mind👇
(Ephesians Chap. 4)
----------
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Personally, before i came to believe in Christ Jesus, I used to smoke, get high, I was involved in all sorts of sins which this world gladly calls "cool".
So now after I got saved I understood something, If I spend my day with my old friends, if I got back to watching movies all day, If i let my mind and eyes wander off, Those same old habits will try to come back on me and the image of Jesus i had on my mind begins to fade, and i begin to hear a thoughts of the devil that says "relax a little why not have some fun?"
If i let these type of thoughts float around my head, I'm back to sinning.
But If i say "i break the power this evil thought pattern in the name of Jesus"
And if i daily *study to implement* the bible
And continually pray, worship
And have fellowship as much as i can with believers.
And if I don't let no unnecessary thought which is not in line with the word of God float in my mind.
I'm in the safe zone because I have closed all the doors of my house. Eyes, Ears, Mind, tongue these are my doors.
"2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
(Romans 12:2)
As far as knowing Jesus the son of God,
1, it is a processes, it doesn't come in a day and you need to obey and implement the word of God👇
"13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"
(Ephesians 4:13)
(John Chap. 14)
----------
21 One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will *reveal myself* to him."
. . .
23 Jesus answered him, "If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.
And I recommend that you pray for yourself the prayers in
Ephesians( ወደ ኤፌሶን) 1:16-19
& 3: 15-19
