In the old testament (before Jesus) they used to celebrate a lot of things. Now most people follow the ceremonies of the old testament which are clearly cancelled by the work of Christ.
In fact, people were so caught up with making up ceremonies, teaching man made stuff to people like God told them to do it👇

11 That which enters into the mouth doesn't defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man."
The way to get to heaven is to read the Gospel to find out what God did for all of us in the Cross at Calvary, basically its a substitution work, God put all the sins of men on his son Christ Jesus(the one who never sinned) and he died for it, and 3days later God raised him from the death and made Jesus sit by his right hand, above all power and dominion.
So today, all we have to do is raises our hand up to God and say
"God i am a sinner, I accept Jesus as my substitute, he died for my sins on the cross, and you raised him from the death, i believe this in my heart, i now confess Jesus is lord, thank you for saving me"

Thus, you can never earn your way to Gods kingdom, salvation is not by works its only by grace through faith in Christ Jesus 👇
