This is very serious. You should be able to tell whether he is loving you for who you are or just biding time! It's already been 5 months and you cant still tell and that is terrible because of two things. 1. If he has been genuine all along and you eventually come out with this, he will definitly be hurt and feel misundertood and everything might feel pointless. 2. You are being a terrible partner by not being undertanding and not asking the right questions at the right time.
