Dec 18, 2020The basic difference is regarding the nature of Christ , while Orthodoxy believes in one single unified Divine and Human natures nature of Christ (Tewahdo) , the protestants mostly believe in dual ununified nature of Jesus's flesh and divinity. So as Jesus is fully God and fully man in Orthodoxy the mother of Jesus is called mother of God that's why she venerated in the Orthodox church. But we can't say all protestants believe in the same way since there are are currently over 34,000 types of protestantism.
