Hello everyone this is kinda urgent am in this point of life to make decisions in someone else's life so I just want to make sure that am making the right decision I got a brother who is addicted to drugs(chat) he used to live with my parents but betam aschegerachew they live in country side and me and my sister live in Addis we got work and we earn income so I brought him here to live with us am the first child and our parents got only the three of us so for a while he was doing good but he was still using chat but his conditions were okay I workout and I make him to workout in the gym even if he spend some nights outside everytime I give him advise I used to tell him at least to ask for permission from us and introduce us with his friends and tell him many things make him watch good movies read books I always try to help him build good habits am kinda friendly and also our ages are so close am 23 and he is 19 I don't do drugs am kinda busy do you to work and we only meet up at night after a while he started spending more nights outside he just came in the day time to home and live the house before I arrive he kinda afraid of me then when he comes home after spending some weeks I came up with this decision to make a program for him to chew chat by a program in 2 week times I give him money and he can buy chat and chew at home just to help him to get self control to show him it can be controlled but things started getting worse he even spend a month without coming home and so he started stealing from us I always try to be patient to not drive him into something more mess I sometimes beat him but nothing changes he will be good for 3 days then boom back to that then we started hiding money he don't still from me actually he stole from my sister cuz he is afraid of me even tho it's hard for me to stay patient this days he started taking things material goods from home I can be patient with his staying outside late I can be patient with he using drug I can be patient with he sleeping in some other places but I can't stand his steeling this through me of guard so he isn't coming home while am home he comes home while am not home and take things etc.... The thing I wanna ask you guys I only got to options 1. to throw him to jail 2. To get him in to rehab so what do you say guys I don't want to rush to decisions I want everybody's comment in this if any of you say get him to rehab give me the details like place and also the money and every process as I said before I ain't got no time to go and check the place's For those of you who are reading this and under 20 please try to understand in what you put your family's through don't get into drugs that will be your life struggling to not use drug I almost lost my brother he started using drug while I was in campus he won't get in to it if I was there and every single one of you should know how bad it is it is one of the top worst things that could happen to someone's life we all seeking for freedom when we were young we all think we can get our freedom by breaking our family rules we take our freedom from them and we hand it to some other drug(chat,cigarette, marijuana, hookah)

The better solution for and for him i think is the rehab thing...if you get him imprisoned he might stop doing drugs for a while but it won't be a final solution..plus maybe he might start to hate you and your parents might hate you too even tho you're doing right...idk any places but the rehab option is better... And again big respect for you π
