Dec 02, 2020You're not the only one who feels this way I feel it too despite being born in the same generation u mentioned I wonder what has got into our minds how can someone think being a homo/bi/trans is okay .... we Ethiopians starting from our childhood we were thought to believe in God and be Religious, humble and so on still despite coming from this kind of society who's got a strict norm and values why and how do we accept these kinds of things as a normal thing it just doesn't make sense am not saying we should bully them but we shouldn't think it's okay rather we should try to help them to get out of these illness.....But I disagree with u in one point I don't get the wrong in being familiar with every concept what's wrong with knowledge because in my case it helped me to prevent many things from happening so I don't think being familiar with every little thing is a problem it depends on the way we understand and accept the thing we learned.

Dec 02, 2020I think what you're concerned about under the guise of Ethiopian culture and morality has in fact nothing to do with morality and everything to do with not wanting to anger God. It all comes down to religions beliefs which are arguably inconsiderate when it comes to human pleasure in this life(the one before death and the only one we can be sure of). What's wrong with homosexuality?(I'm not homo by the way) I mean, what's the problem if two consenting adults do whatever they want with each other? You don't think they deserve to be happy? Should we deny them sexual pleasures we're all entitled to just because they don't enjoy the company of the opposite sex? Where's the morality in that? If you think religion has done more good than bad to humanity and is worth preserving, you need only refer history books soaked with our ancestors blood, killing and dying for the religious leaders they blindly follow (and here you are thinking this generation is gullible). A new era is coming bud, where we wave aside our unjustified beliefs and embrace logic and skepticism....an era where nobody cares about the holy scriptures anymore than we do now about other books written thousand years ago. Only then will we be able to enjoy life fully and transcend the barriers erected by religion once and for all.
