So just out of curiosity, can you own a Tesla car in Ethiopia, Ride once bring one here on the city, am such a big fan of Elon Musk and love this Tesla Roadster so if I can afford can I have it here ? And is there any law against luxury cars ?
Nov 21, 2020There's no law against it but at the moment the infastructure of Ethiopia isn't well suited for cars like that
Nov 22, 2020U can own any luxurious car u want if u can afford it dude(tax ena gbrunm chemreh) gn yet charge ltadergew new? Bebeth be 2 phase electric mesmer🤷‍♂
Nov 22, 2020Why would there be such a law? But I can assure you most people wouldn't like it. They would call you a posh git flaunting his money.
Nov 22, 2020There is no such law....but it wouldn't be practical to bring such a car here as there are no charging ports in Ethiopia
Nov 22, 2020Yeah you can if you can afford it but unless the car is a hybrid I don't think you can use it here bdnb malet there are no electric stations here and you must be able to pay 200% tax that's the tax on luxurious items here(correct me if I'm wrong) so let's say he sells it for 20k you have to pay 60k to bring it here since 20k +20k(200%) = 60k which is about 2.28 million birr and I don't think its sold at 20k dollars
Nov 22, 2020its around 80k and above(the new one) bezi hisab demo asbew u can buy a luxurious house
Nov 22, 2020Like 500% tax keflek mnm chigr yelewm
Nov 22, 2020u can, there's one tesla that was imported last year i think but the problem is where will u charge it???
