Guys I can't get my head around the fact that the orthodox church asked 'yeyzota maregagecha, carta' for meskel square & janmeda. It shud be granted yemtlu, whyy?

Because the Ethiopian orthodox church has been celebrating meskel at 'meskel' square and timket at janmeda. Esun dmo mekad atchilem. The government's moves are frightening right now, changing janmeda to atkilt tera and meskel square into some sort of parking and beautifying it( i am not against lemat), which will take away the place those holidays have been celebrated in. If the church doesn't have 'yezota' of those places a 'government' can take it away any time. Thats why.

Only Jerusalem is the holy city according to the old testament Bible. (see 1 Kings 6 and 2 Chronicles 3-4) In New testament people are the temple of God not places that churches are built on. "Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are" (Corinthians 3:16-17) If any one can refute my claim using only the Bible um open for discussion.
