It isn't impossible. For all we know, everything could be a dream and we may not even know it. But one thing you can't doubt is that you're conscious of your experience (whether it's a dream or not). You feel pain, joy and things you do affect your future(or your future's dream). So I don't think it matters even if it's all a dream as long as we're conscious beings in it and living in it.
