Nov 03, 202081 yalew is the original, u guys using bible which is modified by martin ...catholic Pope 😂😂
Nov 04, 2020The one which is published in 2000 is based on the orginal translation to geez meaning in the 5/6th centurry i.e (Greek to Ge'ez, Ge'ez to Amharic) The one before that was based on the recent translations from King James Version or Good news bible (i.e Greek to Latin ..... KJV to Amharic) But in both cases the understandinding of the concepts in the church is the same ....... And if u read the interpretation of the bible in the church(አንድምታ) is the same. And the word variations are because of the Orginal language words have multiple meanings for example The Greek word Paraclete (Greek: παράκλητος) have multiple meaning in Greek And it is interpreted as "Comforter" in (John 14:16) and it is interpreted as "advocate" in (1st John 2:1) in the kJV Bible There are also difficult hebrew word to clearly translate with a single word Plus The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church doesn't have a sola scriptura doctrine, the interpretation of the bible is kept in the church through the holy apostolic succession and the holy apostolic tradition so don't worry the concept will not be lost in the process. Thank you # I dont actually speak Greek
Nov 06, 2020Because the former 81 bible wasn't based on Original Language and didn't see ye agebab tirgum. In another way, eg. VEGETARIAN is directly translated to amharic as ATKLTEGNA. but it has different meaning. Like that..
