Is it good if I join law department at this time and what kind of things will I face during school time and out specially I want advices from the ones who went through it
Oct 24, 20203rd year law student at AAU here and I'd say it really depends on what kind of student you are. For me I didn't find it to be this engaging field that I expected it to be. If you're the kind of student who learns better from lively conversations and debates...I wouldn't suggest law. And more than anything Ethiopian Law Schools are no where near figuring out how to teach law. However, if you're the kind of student who was attentive and participating even in extremely boring classes in high school then it might not be that different for you. Otherwise you just need to make very sure that you get good results, it's a high risk high reward kind of field from what we've been told. If you do good, it will pay well when you're out there working and if you don't it's just as bad. Do not go to law school with the idea of justice and whatnot, in my experience law school stomped on my sense of justice than anything else. Don't just take one person's opinions to heart though, I'm sure there are plenty of people who love it. Listen to everyone, check what facts you can and make an informed decision that would best suit you.
