If you are talking about PC yeah ychalal, you can replace/upgrade your old RAM by a new one like 4GB RAM to 6/8 GB RAM

if ur sayin that ur pc is being slow then yes you can upgrade ur ram and if ur pc has more than 1 slot then great but if its one, buy a ram suitable for ur pc
