Guys I really need help Both my parents passed away and one of my aunts took guardianship and and the court stuff is almost done Now the worst part of the process is money . I don't want to be a bad person saying this but what if she tries to steal the money or use it to her self Can I do anything abt it after that happens Pls any one familiar with law help!!

Oct 23, 2020yes you can do a lot of things with that .how old are you if you are 16 you can apply for emancipation Which means your legally free before 18 but wouldn't recommend that since it has troubles. I am going through the same thing except not my aunt but my half sister is doing that to me.2nd option is revoke her from her guardianship and get another one but be careful what you wish for. there are laws written on family code I will send it to you after briefly explaining your situation.and also you should be careful you have to have evidence like tangible evidence whether it's share money she is abusing or your family bank account or your houses or assets proofs.

Oct 23, 2020I'm very sorry for your loss...but at least you have to know about the personality of your aunt...i mean she agreed to take care of you, and you still think about the money? but on the other side...she maybe into it for the money so i advice you first know about the net worth if your family, u could just ask the court or estimate it yourself...on the other side your aunt has the duty to get you into school, and fulfill your necessity even if your parents didn't have a penny...so my opinion is maybe give your aunt a chance she may be good,
