When you sit in a bus, you trust the driver to take you to your destination safely; when you sit in front of a teacher, you trust her to teach you the right things; and so on. But I am guessing that you are asking, when can we know that we can trust a person with our life, or some level of trust in the neighbourhood. One must realise that trust is something that builds gradually. You can never be 100% sure about any person (exceptions can always exist, like parents in some cases). You start to trust people with small things, and when they stay true to the trust you have shown in them, you slowly start trusting them more. And that’s how trust develops
