To the Muslim brothers/sisters How do you keep halal with the opposite gender? Like in university and they wanna hang out with you but you can't (for staying halal reasons) specially if you used hang out with them before but know you realized that it's wrong so you tryna do the right thing. How do you like avoid going out with them specially shaking hands. So far when they asked to go out amI've been saying oh corona safety, I'm busy with family stuff but noww school is about to start and will be seeing each other often and when they ask if we can hang out now what will you say without offending them? (btw they're non muslims) Thanks.
Oct 21, 2020Well, at first place you need to be proud of your religion which didnt leave any good thing unless it has guided us to and bad thing unless it has forbidden us from and made us the best way of life and made it an obligation to invite the non-believers to it too 2nd thing, if you were enough proud of your religion you wouldnt have needed to tell them that the reason was c.virus and hide your religions teachings. instead, you would tell them that your religion has forbidden intentionally putting your hand in the hand of a women who is not one of your mahram (permissible) There is a hadith which talks about some non-believers who came upon sahabas while they were talking about the teaching of the prophet (pbuh) about how to use toilet and they (the non-believers) tried to make fun of them saying "your prophet teaches you how to shit too!!? What a shame!" Then one of the sahabas stepped forward and proudly explained "YES! The prophet teaches us to tilt on our left side when we sit on toilet, teaches us to clean with water or three pebbles...." As a muslim you should follow the way of the prophet and his companions and never hesitate to learn, teach and/or talk about your religion Hope this is the answer you needed
