do u think teaching kids things that they don't fully understand in a young age is brain washing ? and if we don't teach them anything its likely that they wouldn't survive and thrive in society, assuming that objective truth and morality exists we r sort of obligated to teach them what's right and wrong at the young age right... but that would also be a brain wash ( good or bad ) right ? so why is brain washing frowned upon when most would argue its necessary ? What makes education and indoctrination any different then ?
Jun 06, 2026I think it's more like mini experience sharing. If they get curious when they see fire for the first time, you tell them it'll burn them. Telling them what's good or bad is like giving them your experience so that they don't have to deal with bad outcomes out of curiosity. It's more like guiding instead of brain washing. But sometimes we push our believes in them you're right. Specially when it comes to religion. I'm not saying they should grow up free from it but I'm saying you have a point
