I wonder are their atheist in ethiopia and if you're an atheist can you tell me what are the thought process that got you there and the main reasons that made you disbelieve in your old religion. And how your life is after you changed amd what kinda moral frameworks do you use to morally judge what is wrong and right. May 04, 2026don't really call my self an atheist. maybe agnostic would be the right term because i believe no one knows if god exist and the evidence that's shown by both side aren't convincing enough . but we can say religion is man made idea. i grow up orthodox then joined Protestant church because of family. i was skeptic since i was young and ask a lot of questions for pastors regularly which they mostly didn't answer so i had to look up and do my research. this process slowly turned to be me leaving.
May 04, 2026the process that lead me down the road is when we study religion more skeptically we can see how much they can relate like there is flood mythology in different cultures and virgin birth is not also unique to Christianity. besides when you study ecology you can understand how place, cultures and others affect religion in way like religion that formulated in deserts like Judaism and islam have monotheistic gods cuz the resource is limited and the society need strong authority vice versa
May 04, 2026my life turned out be good. i was depressed throughout highschool because i was confused what to do with my life. i then realised i need to find something for my self and focused more on my career and hobbies. my family don't explicitly know (because i am not really vocal) but they know i am not religious at all. same with friends and i never had problema with it. moral framework is complex i guess i am more of stoic guy. at the end of the day they way i grow up and Christianity shaped my moral.
