i mean even as a male perspective , if the woman ex was the worst and shatters their hearts , talking negatively can be justified , but sometimes people talk also negatively to assert that they were the innocent ones and they got cheated on blablabla , so their bfs / gfs can be assured they are actually innocent , its a manipulative technique.
