Hi everyone, I’m looking for real-life advice from people who have moved (or are living) in rural areas of Ethiopia. My wife and I are planning to relocate for a more peaceful and sustainable lifestyle, possibly with small-scale farming or a hybrid income setup. If you have experience, I’d really appreciate your insights on: - How did you choose the location? - What challenges did you face in the first year? - How did you manage income or business? - What do you wish you knew before moving? Since i have relatives in rural oromia and south regions.. i can tell safety is major issue. Then lets say you choose relatively peaceful and beautiful village, but one thing is inevitable. The school and education system is really poor, if you decide to have children it is same as playing in their future. My suggestion is, you can move to farest part one city and you can spend time and work around rural, without being far from your home

While reading this, my mind was like "we can do that, move to rural area and have a rural-type of lifestyle?" I wish I could give advice, I'm just an urban guy.... but you and your wife decided on something profound..... I wish you the best of luck 👍

And yeah moving to rural area from a city is hard cuz it won't be that comfortable
