Would you live in a shared house if: • Your room is private • You share the kitchen & bathroom with only 1–2 other people • The place is clean and well-managed • Utilities (water, electricity, WiFi) are reliable If yes: • How much would you expect to pay monthly? • What would you NEED for it to be worth it? Mar 25, 2026I get that however let’s do a quick comparison. At this economy one nice bedroom apartment (No furniture )could be around 20k - 30k However shared flat that is furnished could cost 7k - 15k Would you consider?
Mar 26, 2026I’d live in a shared house if it’s in a good area (Bole, Megenagna) with easy transport. In Addis, location really matters. Clean house, reliable water and electricity are a must. Sharing with 1–2 respectful, clean people is okay. I’d pay 5k–10k birr: lower if far/basic, higher if good location & quality. Without water, cleanliness, and peace, it’s not worth it
