If you make 12k you adjust, get a cheap house, cook at home, cut extra spending. With 25k your lifestyle changes a bit, maybe a better house and eating out sometimes. With 50k the expectations get even higher. At the end of the day we all live, we just sacrifice different things. I even lived in Addis for 6 months with a 9k salary by myself
