How bad will my lack of communicating my thoughts clearly wiz ppl and fear of presentation affect my life in z future(work life)??
Oct 17, 2020I used to do a lot of public speaking, in a former job, and I learned that the times I was the least nervous were the times I knew the material cold. The better I had my presentation memorized, and the more times I gave it, the more comfortable I became until I began to actually love public speaking. When my presentation was memorized, I could improvise, joke with the audience, and have a great time. So my first piece of advice to you is to memorize your presentation. The second is that public speaking only gets easier with practice. So your first presentation is going to be your hardest. Practice it as much as you can beforehand. Even video yourself and watch it back to see where you need to improve. Give your presentation in front of someone you trust, first: a parent or a friend. Then, on the day itself, you just have to plunge in and do it. It’s a little like riding a roller coaster: terrifying while you’re in the middle of it, but as soon as it’s over, you want to get back on and do it again.
