yeah it happened to me yesterday after the latest update and i changed my font style in the app setting and now it is resolved. you can change your font style in settings-> chat settings-> font family ( under 'Theme settings')-> here you have Amharic fonts (like Nyala, Ebrima, or others) installed on your Windows/macOS system. Ebrima is fine for me. Got it from GitHub try it
