Dec 29, 2025Dear sister, please read this with peace. You are not dirty, sinful, or unworthy. You are sick — and sickness is not sin. 🔹 Medical truth Candida is a medical infection, not a moral failure. It causes itching, burning, irritation, and sometimes strong physical sensations because the skin and nerves are inflamed. These reactions are involuntary, not chosen. • Treating candida with cream or medicine is normal and necessary • Illness and treatment do NOT take virginity • Virginity is lost only through voluntary sexual intercourse, not symptoms or medical care So medically: ❌ You did not lose your virginity ❌ You did not commit sexual sin ⸻ 🔹 Orthodox Christian truth In Orthodoxy, sin requires intention and free will. What happens against your will, because of illness or bodily weakness, is not sin. Jesus never condemned sickness — He healed it. Using medicine is not lack of faith; it is one of the means God gives for healing. ⸻ 🔹 About confession Yes, you can mention this to your father confessor — not because you are guilty, but for peace and guidance. ⚠️ If a priest tells you that illness or medical treatment is sexual sin, impurity, or removes your worth, that is not Orthodox teaching. In that case, you should change your confessor. A priest is meant to heal the soul, not terrify it. ⸻ 🔹 Your questions • Will I lose my virginity? → No. • Do I deserve Orthodox (pure) marriage? → Yes, completely. Illness, treatment, anxiety, or unwanted thoughts do not remove purity. ⸻ 🔹 About the thoughts tormenting you What you are experiencing sounds like anxiety or fear-based guilt. Intrusive thoughts are not sins. “God is not the author of confusion.” (1 Corinthians 14:33) ⸻ 🌿 Final words You are still pure, worthy, and loved. Illness does not cancel grace. Treatment does not cancel dignity. Say simply: “Lord Jesus Christ, heal my body and give peace to my heart.” Christ is with you. Do not condemn yourself — He never did.
