I've been postponing paying student tuition (3 years since graduation). Does it have interest rates or time limits/late fees? Should I pay it off as soon as possible or wait until I'm financially well off?

I heard that there is an interest rate of around 100-1k birr every yr that it's not paid of if u can pay it pay it fully if not just pay it every 3-5months
