Hello aae family I am 20 f and 2nd year student in aastu So I used to be a top scorer through out highschool. So I was confident you could say about my academics. But I used to struggle betam when it comes to math( Kehulum ziktegna wutete always esu neber). So freshman mathematics f ametahu ena it shattered all the confidence I had and lowered my self esteem. I didn't know someone could lose their faith in themselves this fast maryamn. Then now I got into the department I don't even have the slightest interested in. I can't tell my parents about this. Their and even their colleagues expectations for me is beyond my ability. I feel so overwhelmed what should I do?
Sep 28, 2025Just remember you're just bad at maths and it's only maths nothing more. I'm also good at academics but still in a department that I don't have a slightest interest in(med). So even if the f hadn't been, there still was a chance that you wouldn't like the field you thought you did. Everything changes, so does your interests, just try to see your specific talent and apply it in the field you're in now. You don't have to be good in everything, just the thing that's gone take you to the top at the end. Try to give their expectations a little less space, and your confidence more🫶
