This one's for the medical doctors. 22 yo male here, and I have a lump in the perianal area. I first noticed it as a teenager, and at the time I didn’t think much of it cause it was very small—also I was too scared to look into it more. Over the past few months, however, it has started to swell a lot! It has grown in both size and area, and now it’s gotten to the point where I have to be careful how I sit, because if I put pressure on it, the pain is blinding. I’d like to understand what this could be. Should I see a doctor? I feel nervous about getting it checked because it’s such a sensitive area, but I’m worried and not sure what to do next. do you know what it is? And should I go get it checked? Thanks
