Hello, guys. I am Orthodox, but there are certain rules that the Church teaches that I don't believe in or I'm just not convinced that they're mandatory as much as people claim it to be. For example, it's not allowed to eat meat from animals slaughtered by a non-Orthodox believer, wearing a cross is mandatory, fasting is required, and having sex before celebrating a wedding is a sin. My question is: is it actually a sin to not follow these rules?
