Aug 20, 2025a woman’s value was unfairly tied to her virginity and marriageability back then So the law was written in a way to protect the woman from being abandoned or left without security in a culture where she’d be shamed and unable to marry but for us today, it doesn’t mean God is saying rape is okay or that a woman should be forced to marry her rapist. It shows how limited human laws were back then compared to God’s bigger heart for justice
Aug 20, 2025There's bunch more. Here are my other favorites Exodus 21:20-21 – Slavery and beating slaves “If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished. But if they are not dead after a day or two, he is not to be punished, because the slave is his property.” Psalm 137:9 – Violence against infants “Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.” 1 Timothy 2:11-12 – Silencing women “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 – Eternal punishment for unbelievers “...He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord...” One of the most fuckin hilarious things to witness is Religious people doing an Olympic worthy mental gymnastics to Justify this shit. Gets me everytime. There'll come a day ofcourse, when they finally accept that they're just reciting and moaning senseless for a text written by power hungry pedophiles that wrote about their fantasy like dream world. With women to torture and children to marry, a race to erase and a dick to stroke.
Aug 20, 2025Another evidence that the Bible was written by a man
Aug 20, 2025UV life is as simple as these pics. Clear?
This law is for the jews not for you
Aug 20, 2025Like what do mean rape cause ain't no way a women is gonna mary a man who raped her but if ur in relationship and somehow take her v then I think u should marry her cause like how they say it but like her identity or shi becha what im saying is she can't marry a man who raped her cause in the first place she don't have feelings for him and she end up being miserable or even commit suicide if there is no one to understand her and for the man he only wanted her for one night stand if he wanted her to be his partne for life he would not rape her and same goes for him just because its written in Bible don't take it as it's if ur curious about go and ask ppl that are like monks so that they could provide u with answers and not come here cause u won't find those here

Aug 20, 2025Hahaha I actually saw your question lemn dislike aregachut yemil...maybe you should have explained it bedenb. #asker Look, beza culture honeh endtasbew nw mfelgew...God was protecting this women and her honour. He's not hurting this women...he's making the man accountable for his action. I want you to look at this example first...how the women in that culture think.. When tamar was raped by her half brother and he wanted to throw her out...she pleaded him to marry her “No, my brother; this wrong in sending me away is greater than the other that you did to me. But he would not listen to her.” (2 Samuel 13:16). She says " it is greater than the other you did to me" ?? Why did she consider denying her marriage greater than the rape?? In this century of course you'd ask why she would say that to her rapist...why would she plead for him to marry her...and worst of all why would she say to him not marrying her is worse than raping her. Here is the thing in that culture if a women is not a virgin she has lost all her value...nobody is gonna mary her..she won't have anything to support her self( as men are the providers)...her only option would be to become a prostitute or go into slavery ( she would possibly be violated if she chose this as well)...her value is tied with her virginity mnm option aynoratm for life as a non virgin that's why tamar pleaded with her rapist to mary her. ( This is basically a matter of survival for her) God is not mektating the women he's holding the man accountable and making him pay 50 shekls of silver ( which is the amount of money given to the father as a dowry during marriage of women- this is to symbolize and show the women hasn't lost her value ) and this law keeps the man from discarding her after using her( doesn't allow him to divorce) which means he has to keep providing for this women. Also. This law is binding for the man and not for the women... Her father( representing the women and the family) refuse karege..the man still pays the dowry " used good " endalhonech lemasayet malet nw. Exodus 16 "If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins.” I know besnesrat explain endaladerekut gn I hope it helps I guess.. I read a book about old testament laws mnamn a long time ago detail gebto be cultural contextu explain miyaderg...if I remember the title I'll send it to you.
